Fractal burning (also called Lichtenberg burning or fractal wood burning) is a method of creating branching, lightning-like patterns in wood or other materials by passing high-voltage electricity across the surface. The electric current follows paths of least resistance, burning channels and creating complex, dendritic designs that resemble natural fractals.
